Katalox Light is a revolutionary filtration media for removing iron, manganese, hydrogen sulfide (sulfur) and many other contaminants. Katalox Light is engineered with unique MnO2 coating technique on Zeosorb, providing it light weight, higher filtration surface, more service life and more reliable performance (filtration down to 3 µm) than any other existing granular filter media.

Activated carbon is designed for reduction of tastes, odors and dissolved organic chemicals from municipal and industrial water supplies. Manufactured from select grades of coconut shell coal to produce a high density, durable granular product capable of withstanding the abrasion and dynamics associated with repeated hydraulic transport, backwashing and mechanical handling. Activation is carefully controlled to produce exceptionally high internal surface area with optimum pore size for the adsorption of a broad range of low molecular weight organic contaminants and oxidizing agents like chlorine and ozone.

Birm is an efficient and economical media for the reduction of dissolved iron and manganese compounds from raw water supplies. It may be used in either gravity fed or pressurized water treatment systems. Birm acts as an insoluble catalyst to enhance the reaction between dissolved oxygen (D.O.) and the iron compounds. Birm should only be used on water with a pH above 6.8 and no hydrogen sulfide.

GreensandPlus is a proven technology for iron, manganese, hydrogen sulfide, arsenic and radium removal. GreensandPlus is a black filter media used for removing soluble iron, manganese, hydrogen sulfide, arsenic and radium from groundwater supplies. The manganese dioxide coated surface of GreensandPlus acts as a catalyst in the oxidation reduction reaction of iron and manganese. The silica sand core of GreensandPlus allows it to withstand waters that are low in silica, TDS and hardness without breakdown.

Calcite is a naturally occurring calcium carbonate media. One of the advantages of Calcite is its self-limiting property. When properly applied, it corrects pH only enough to reach a non-corrosive equilibrium. It does not overcorrect under normal conditions. Acids can be neutralized for corrosion prevention and on extremely acidic water, Corosex can be blended with Calcite to enhance the performance of the filter.

C108 resin is a high-capacity, conventional gel polystyrene strong acid cation exchange resin designed for use in residential or industrial water softening equipment. Cation resin in sodium form removes hardness ions such as calcium and magnesium by replacing them with sodium. When the resin bed is exhausted the hardness ions begin to pass through the bed. Functionality is returned by regeneration with concentrated sodium or potassium chloride solution. The capacity obtained depends largely on the amount of salt used in the regeneration. Typically 15 lbs of chemical per cubic foot is used to obtain maximum capacity of up to 36,000 grains.
